Students’ Social – the somewhat desolate interweb community run by myself and David Thompson – is going to be down for a few days.

Basically, we’re struggling to justify spending 40 for another year of hosting for a site which probably wont see another update. The amount of time it takes me to write any piece of software means that we’d all have graduated by the time I finished, thus meaning we’d have to think of a new name, as well as getting real lives.
I don’t want to close it though, as that would mean losing the forum which, no matter how few use it, still keeps a load of old friends in touch. Therefore, the site will get re-hosted underneath my personal domain, and the studentssocial.co.uk address will point at it.

It should be back up on Sunday. Ish.

Update:

The site is now uploaded, complete with all data (which has been transformed to reflect the name changes). Hopefully you’ll find that Students’ Social.co.uk will function again at some point tomorrow, with studentssocial.co.uk pointing to the the new ‘proper’ address of http://studentssocial.ben-ward.co.uk. Any faults need to be pointed at me, really.
